Jailbreak iOS 4.0 for iPhone 3G & iPod Touch 2G october 2010
How to jailbreak iOS 4.1, 4.0.1, 4.0.2, on iPod touch 2nd Gen. and iPhone 3G. NOTE: 4.1 JAILBREAK HAS MORE BUGS THAN ALL PREVIOUS JAILBREAKS AND ALL JAILBREAKS HAVE BUGS, FAVORITE THIS VIDEO AND I WILL UPDATE THE REDSN0W LINKS TO NEWER VERSIONS WITH LESS BUGS WHEN THEY ARE AVALIBLE! ALSO IF YOU ATTEMPT THIS, IT IS AT YOUR OWN RISK, SO I CAN’T BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU MESS UP! You will be using Redsnow 0.9.5 (Beta) to jailbreak and Hacktivate your iphone 3G and/or iPod Touch 2nd generation. Itunes 9.2 is required to do all this. If you are on 4.0.1, 4.0.2 or 4.1 firmware then simply put iOS4.0.0 in to redsnow to jailbreak your devices respectively as shown in this video. The Written Tutorial: 1) Make a backup in iTunes incase it gos wrong! 2) Download your .ipsw from the link below and download Redsn0w for windows or mac. 3) Plug your iDevice in but turn it off and make sure iTunes is closed. 4) Run Redsn0w and browse for the .ipsw file. Select Next 5) Press Next 6) Put it into DFU mode the way it says to. 7) Watch it install the jailbreak but don’t unplug it until it’s finnished. 
Reboot your iDevice 9) Now It’s Finnished!
